On October 2, 2024, the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences organized an Orientation Program at the C Block Amphitheater 3 of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Nazmiye Yıldırım, Head of the Nursing Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Birgül Cerit, faculty members, student club leaders, and newly registered students.
 
The program began with a presentation by the Faculty Career Planning Coordinator, Dr. Arzu Akman Yılmaz, who introduced the university and its career planning opportunities. Dean Prof. Dr. Nazmiye Yıldırım provided information to the students about the faculty's vision, mission, and academic goals.
 
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Birgül Cerit, the Head of the Nursing Department, introduced the academic and administrative structure of the department, explaining the educational processes that students will follow and the stages of preparing for their professional careers. She emphasized that the nursing education is structured with a balance of theoretical and practical courses, and that through clinical practice, students will enhance their professional skills and specialize in their field. Additionally, she highlighted that one of the primary goals is to prepare students as ethical, respectful, and responsible professionals.
 
Following this, Dr. Şeyma Demir presented the Peer Mentoring Program, and Dr. Çiğdem Ceylan introduced international mobility opportunities. Research Assistant Aykut Turgut, the department's sports representative, informed the students about various sports activities that would support their physical and mental well-being.
 
On behalf of student clubs, Zülal Gülten Çeşme, President of the Health and Innovation Club, and Bersu Adal, President of the Nursing Social Activity Club, introduced their activities to the students and encouraged participation. Cansu Açıkalın, the Library Services Unit Officer, provided information about the facilities offered by the library
