‘Boron Wound Cream’ and “Boron Skin Care Cream”, whose project studies were carried out at our University with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mining Research Council (TENMAK), were entitled to receive a patent from the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

 
Prof. Dr. Cevher Altuğ, Prof. Dr. Çetin Boran, Dr. Serap Topsoy Kolukısa, Lecturer Eylem Suveren, Research Assist. Assist. Dr. Ümmühan Yiğit and Uzm. The project, which was carried out by our interdisciplinary team consisting of Muhammet Büyükbayram and included in the list of commercialisable products, received patent registrations. It was decided to start the commercialisation process of boron products.

Boron element, which is used in many fields from agriculture to chemical industry, from construction to nuclear energy and military technologies, has the highest quality deposits in the world in our country. Most of the world reserves of boron, an industrial element of strategic importance, are located in our country and exported as raw material. It is predicted that the boron element, which will be developed and exported as an industrial product, will contribute more to the economy of our country. In this context, the projects and studies carried out at our University for the development of boron as an industrial product continue.
